The start screen shows scores, a demo and power-ups. Insert a coin, then press START to play. One credit buys a full three-life round. Credits stay in this tab after a reload; the counter holds up to 99. After Game over, enter your name if asked, then return here. Use the power button to end your session.
Stone Jaw: a rare rock boss. Wait for the warning, then make a short jump through its glowing opening. The ceiling and ledge hurt. Chili cannot burn stone; a shield saves one mistake.
Chili: run fast for 5 seconds and burn cacti. Birds still hurt.
Feather: one extra jump. Jump, then press jump again in the air. You can hold only one feather. It shows behind your dino.
Glow berry: jump to catch the glowing pink berry for 25 bonus points. Missing it costs nothing. It does not use or replace your power-ups. Collected berries also fly to the score during the next level tally; their points are already included. Existing highscores stay; new runs can earn these additional points.
Lives: start with 3 lives, up to 5. An unprotected hit costs one life, followed by 1.8 seconds of recovery protection. Earn extra lives at 500, 1,250, 2,250, 3,500 points and beyond; each interval grows by 250 points. Milestones reached at full lives are used, not saved. The HUD shows hearts and the next 1UP score.
Level bonus: after each speed level, finish the current obstacles and land safely for a short automatic tally. Each cleanly passed obstacle group earns 1 point (up to 10), plus 5 for no hits, capped at 20 points and 10% of that section's distance score. Shield contacts count as hits; burnt or hit obstacles do not count as clean passes. At top speed, checkpoints continue every 30 seconds of running. Bonus coins add score, not play credits.
Shield bubble: collect it to survive one cactus, bird or boss hit. It stays around your dino until it pops. You can hold only one shield.
Get a top 10 score and enter four letters. Online scores show your name, score, date and device to everyone. Use the gear for Relaxed mode, music and effects volume, theme song, sound and fullscreen.
When a new version is ready, an update notice appears in the start menu. Choose Update now to reload, or Later to keep playing. Updates never reload an ongoing run automatically. Closing all game tabs also allows an update to take effect the next time you play.
