1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what data the "Peilung SOS" app (hereinafter "the App") collects, how it is used, and what rights you have as a user.

2. What Data is Collected?

2.1 Location Data

The App collects your GPS location data (geographic coordinates) when you tap the location button. This includes:

• Latitude
• Longitude
• Location accuracy

2.2 Google Play Services

The App uses the Google Play Services Location API for location determination. Google's Privacy Policy also applies.

3. How is the Data Used?

The collected location data is used exclusively to:

• Display your current coordinates in various formats (Decimal Degrees, DMS, Geo URI)
• Generate links to map services (Google Maps, OpenStreetMap)
• Enable you to share your coordinates with other apps

No Data Storage: The App does NOT store your location data permanently. Data is only held temporarily in memory and deleted when you close the App.

4. Data Sharing

The App does NOT transmit your location data to third parties or external servers.

Exceptions:

• Share Function: When you use the "Share" function, coordinates are transmitted via the Android Share function to the app you choose (e.g., messenger, email). This only happens at your explicit request.
• Map Links: When you tap the "Google Maps" or "OpenStreetMap" buttons, the coordinates are transmitted to the respective map service. The privacy policies of those services then apply.

5. Data Security

All data processing occurs locally on your device. The App does not use network connections to transmit location data to external servers.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of Access: You can request information about processed data
• Right to Rectification: You can have incorrect data corrected
• Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your data
• Right to Withdraw Consent: You can revoke location permission at any time in Android settings
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: You can file a complaint with a data protection authority

Since the App does not permanently store or transmit data, all temporary data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App.

7. Permissions

The App requires the following Android permissions:

• Precise Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): For accurate GPS coordinates
• Approximate Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Fallback for approximate location

Location permission is only requested when you want to use the location feature. You can revoke the permission at any time in Android system settings.

8. No Analytics or Advertising

The App does NOT use analytics tools, tracking software, or advertising. No usage data is collected or analyzed.

9. Minimum Age

The App is intended for users aged 4 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 4 years of age.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be communicated via the App or this website. The date of the last update can be found at the beginning of this policy.
